Aero Companion provides pilot-oriented web tools and educational content for crosswind practice, Zulu time conversion, glide-aware route planning, VFR planning, and related aviation topics. These terms apply when you use the site, app, tools, guides, accounts, subscriptions, and related services.
Our privacy practices are covered separately in the Aero Companion Privacy Policy. That is the single canonical privacy policy for the website and iOS app.
Terms of Service
By using Aero Companion, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Aviation-use disclaimer
Aero Companion provides educational content and planning aids only. The site is not an official weather briefing source, certified navigation product, dispatch release, aircraft performance system, flight instruction service, or substitute for pilot judgment, regulations, aircraft manuals, charts, NOTAMs, official weather products, or qualified instruction.
The pilot in command is solely responsible for safe operation of the aircraft, preflight action, weather interpretation, route selection, fuel planning, aircraft performance, airspace compliance, regulatory compliance, and all flight decisions. Always verify Aero Companion outputs against official sources, current charts, approved aircraft documents, and an official preflight briefing where appropriate.
No emergency use
Do not use Aero Companion as the sole source for emergency, time-critical, operational, or safety-critical aviation decisions. Internet services, third-party APIs, weather feeds, location services, and device sensors can be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, inaccurate, or misinterpreted.
User responsibilities
- Provide accurate inputs when using tools.
- Verify all calculations, routes, weather, NOTAMs, and other outputs before relying on them.
- Use the site only in compliance with applicable law and aviation regulations.
- Do not misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service operation, scrape at abusive rates, or upload malicious content.
Accounts, subscriptions, and ads
Some features may require an account or paid plan. Free users may see advertising. Paid or premium plans may remove ads or add additional features where offered. Subscription terms, pricing, renewal, cancellation, and refund rules may be shown at checkout or in account settings and are incorporated into these terms.

Aero Companion may rely on or link to third-party services, including weather, mapping, authentication, analytics, advertising, payment, support, or aviation data providers. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, accuracy, or privacy practices.
Intellectual property
Aero Companion's site design, code, text, graphics, tools, and branding are owned by Aero Companion or its licensors unless otherwise stated. You may use the site for personal, instructional, and flight-planning reference purposes, but you may not copy, resell, republish, or exploit the service at scale without written permission.
Disclaimer of warranties
Aero Companion is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, complete, current, secure, or fit for any particular aviation purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aero Companion and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, business, goodwill, aircraft use, or flight opportunities arising from use of the site.
Changes to the site or terms
We may update, suspend, remove, or change features, content, advertising, plans, and these terms at any time. Continued use of Aero Companion after changes means you accept the updated terms.
